Message List

This is a list of messages written to the machine's system log. The system log can
be viewed using the syslog command.

System Log Information

You can use the following methods to view the system log.
• telnet : Use the syslog command. See p.73 "System log information".
Messages
Access to NetWare server <file server name>
denied. Either there is no account for this print
server or the NetWare server or the password
was incorrect.
add_sess: community<community name> al-
ready defined.
session<community name> not defined.
add_sess: bad trap addr:<IpAddress>, com-
munity:<community name>
add_sess_ipx: bad trap addr: <IPX address>,
community:<community name>
add_sess_ipx: community <community
name> already defined.
session_ipx<community name> not defined.

Causes and Solutions
(In print server mode) Cannot log in to the file
server. Make sure that the print server is reg-
istered on the file server. If a password is spec-
ified for the print server, delete it.
The same community name already exists.
Use another community name.
A requested community name is not defined.
The IP address (0.0.0.0.) is unavailable when
the community access type is TRAP. Specify
the host IP address for the TRAP destination.
The IPX address (00:00:00:00:00:00) is unavail-
able when the community access type is
TRAP. Specify the host IPX address for the
TRAP destination.
The same community name already exists.
Use another community name.
The requested community name is not de-
fined.
An anonymous login has been made with a
password <password> from the host <IP ad-
dress>.
An anpd (AppleTalk Network Package Dae-
mon) has started.
Attached to the file server as a nearest server.
(In print server mode) Attached to the print
queue name.
The IP address changes when DHCP LEASE is
renewed. To always assign the same IP ad-
dress, set a static IP address to the DHCP serv-
er.
The network servibe failed to start. Turn the
printer off and then on. If this does not work,
contact your service or sales representatives.
