About Security
Handset supports SSL/TLS (encryption protocols
for Internet transmissions of important/sensitive
information). Root certificates necessary to use
SSL/TLS are saved on handset by default.
SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) and TLS (Transport
Layer Security) protocols encrypt data before
transmission. Connect via SSL/TLS to safely
transmit personal information, credit card
numbers and internal corporate information, and
guard against eavesdropping, data manipulation,
impersonation and other Internet risks.
When a security notice appears, subscribers must
decide for themselves whether or not to open the
page. Opening secure pages constitutes
agreement to the terms of SSL/TLS usage.
SOFTBANK MOBILE Corp., VeriSign Japan K.K.,
Cybertrust Japan Co., Ltd., Entrust Japan Co.,
Ltd., GlobalSign K.K., RSA Security Japan Ltd. and
Secom Trust Systems Co., Ltd. cannot be held
liable for any damages associated with the use of
SSL/TLS.
* When Warning Messages is set to ON, an alert
appears each time handset connects to a website
using PC Site Browser.
