The SFX-30 provides 3 reception modes: AUTO, MANUAL and ANSWER.

Set the ~AUTO/MANUl switch to select the AUTO or MANUAL mode.

AUTO
The SFX-30 receives incoming fax messages automatically.
The feature switches No. 09 and No. 16 offer you a variety of selections regarding the auto reception mode settings.
See page 60 and 61.
Incoming telephone calls are received by the built-in phone. The telephone rings.
MANUAL
Use this mode if you use the SFX-30 mainly for phone calls.
You can receive an incoming fax message after completing a phone conversation.
ANSWER
Use this mode if you expect both phone calls and faxes while you are away.
Incoming phone calls are received by the built-in handset (and a connected answering machine).
Incoming faxes are received by the SFX-30 automatically.
