(or lift the handset).

Dial the number you want to call.

When the call is answered, lift the handset
and talk.

The telephone rings.
Lift the handset.

Hang up when the conversation is completed.
If you hear an incoming fax tone at step 1, replace the handset after the
display shows RECEIVING. The SFX-30 receives the incoming fax auto-
matically.
