9. DIAGNOSTIC OPERATION

9-1. To start the diagnostic program
To enter diagnostic mode, press "99990000<ST>" immediately after reset-and-start, IPL boot or INT
operation.
* INT operation procedure
1 Press the reset switch while pressing JFEED button.
2 When "INIT" appears in the first line of the LCD dot lines, press <SUBTOTAL>.
3 When "INIT" appears in the second line of the LCD dot lines, press "99990000<ST>".
4 Enter the diagnostic mode.
* In case "MASK DIAG" appears and the counter starts
A false operation has led to the MASK diagnostic mode. Perform IPL operation again.
9-2. Notes for the DIAG
• All test results are printed by the built-in printer receipt.
• Make sure to test HHS-15 by connecting to COM2.
• When doing the test infinitely, follow the direction for each test and input numbers other than 0. Inputting
numbers 1 ~ 9 as the command for the number of times for performing the test in the operation of each
page makes the number infinite. Note that you can only choose one time or infinite times.
• Pay attention to the following in the ARCNET test.
1 When testing with RS485 cable
Slide the switch of the cable to the RS485.
Make sure that a terminal resistance switch is fixed with the cable. (If not, the cable has to be
processed.)
Note that the terminal resistance switch does not have any meaning for RS485.
2 When testing with CAT5 cable
Slide the switch of the cable to the CAT5.
Make sure to turn the terminal resistance switch to ON.
[Others]
• Following is printed when the test is manually ended by the press of ESC (Clear key or mode off).
When ending the test while performing the test infinite times, press CL (clear) key or ESC key.
The following printing is omitted in each test.

• The receipt is cut off after the test result is printed.
• Setting color of the backlight
The combination of backlight switch and the backlight color are as follows;
SW1: emerald green (white and green)
SW2 : pink (white and red)
SW3: white
