As the appliance and the worktop
cut-out have a certain dimensional
tolerance, gap c can vary.

^ Make the worktop cut-out for the
cooktop in accordance with the
building-in diagram. Remember to
maintain a minimum safety distance
(see "Safety clearances").
^ Fix the wooden frame d 2 mm below
the top edge of the worktop (see
diagram).
^ Feed the connection cable down
through the cut-out.
^ Centre the cooktop b in the cut-out.
^ Connect the cooktop to the mains
electricity supply (see "Electrical
connection").
^ Connect the appliance to the gas
supply (see "Gas connection").
^ Secure the appliance at the front and
rear using the brackets supplied. See
"Securing the appliance".
^ Check that the appliance works.
^ Seal the remaining gap c with a
silicone sealant that is heat-resistant
to at least 160 °C.
Observe the silicone sealant
manufacturer's instructions.
For granite and marble tiled
worktops, only use silicone sealant
that has been specially formulated
for granite and marble.
