    Step 3: Prepare your printer Unpack and set up your printer. For help, refer to the instructions that came with your printer. To help configure your printer on the network: Do not connect your printer to your computer; however, if you have already done so, disconnect the USB or parallel cable.

For example, you might have a Lexmark Z65 locally attached and another Lexmark Z65 on your network. If you choose to install another copy of the driver, make sure you change your printer selection whenever you want to print to the network printer.
