Positioning the speakers

Place the front speakers at an angle of
45 degrees from your listening position.

Place the center speaker at about the
same height as the front speakers.
Align the center speaker with the front
speakers or place it slightly behind the front
speakers.

Place the surround speakers facing
each other at about 60 to 90 cm above
your listening position.

Adjusting the speaker volume
of each speaker
— Test Tone
To enjoy Dolby Pro Logic Surround sound,
adjust the volume of each speaker using the test
tone that the system provides.

Press PRO LOGIC when the power is
on.
The indicator lights up.

Press TEST TONE on the remote.
The test tone is heard from the speakers in
the following order.
LEFT (front left) t CENTER (center) t
RIGHT (front right) t
SURROUND (surround) t ...

From your listening position, adjust the
volume until the volume level of the
test tone from each speaker sounds
the same.
To adjust
the volume of the
center speaker
the volume of the
surround speakers

From your listening position, adjust the
balance.
To adjust
the balance between
the front left and front
right speakers
the balance between
the surround left and
surround right
speakers

Press TEST TONE on the remote when
you are done adjusting.
The test tone is turned off.
Note
The test tone feature works only for Dolby Pro Logic
Surround sound.
Tip
If you turn VOLUME (or press VOL + or – on the
remote) all the speaker volume changes.
Do this
Press CENTER LEVEL
+/– on the remote.
Press SURR LEVEL +/
– on the remote.
Do this
Press < or , while
"LEFT", "CENTER" or
"RIGHT" appears.
Press < or , while
"SURROUND"
appears.
