C PHONO IN L/R jacks
Use audio cords (not supplied) to connect an
optional component (such as a turntable) to
these jacks. You can then record or listen to
analogue audio from that component through
this system.
D SUB WOOFER OUT jack
Use an audio cord (not supplied) to connect an
optional sub woofer to this jack.
E VIDEO OUT jack
Use a supplied video cord to connect an optional
component (such as a TV) to this jack. You can
then output video to that component from the
connected video game through this system.
F DVD VIDEO INPUT jack
Use a video cord (not supplied) to connect an
optional component (such as a DVD player) to
this jack. You can then input video to from that
component.
G DVD FRONT INPUT jacks
H DVD REAR INPUT jacks
I DVD WOOFER INPUT jack
J DVD CENTER INPUT jack
Use audio cords (not supplied) to connect a
DVD player to these jacks (G – J). You can
then record or listen to analogue audio from that
component through this system.

optional component (such as a video game or
camcorder, etc.) to these jacks. You can then
record or listen to analogue audio from that
component through this system.
L GAME INPUT VIDEO jack
Use video cord (not supplied) to connect an
optional component (such as a video game or
camcorder, etc.) to this jack. You can then
output video to the connected TV from that
component through this system.
Notes
• Be sure to match the color of the plugs and the
connectors.
• See “Selecting the audio emphasis effect” on page 26
for video game sound effects.
• If you press GAME in the left corner of the front
panel while the system is off, the system turns on, the
function switches to GAME, and the equalizer also
switches to the GAME.
• If you press GAME in the left corner of the front
panel while the system is on, the function switches to
GAME and the equalizer automatically switches to
the GAME in the same manner.
• Using a turntable at high volume may cause
distortion or howling. This is often caused by the
bass sound from the speakers. The bass sound may
produce the distortion or howling. To avoid this, do
the following:
– Keep some distance from speakers to the turntable.
– Stop using the surround effect.
– Install the speakers or the turntable on a firm and
stable surface.
Tip
You can enjoy 5.1 channel surround sound while
playing a DVD (page 39).
