3.3 Vertical Deflection Circuit

3.3.1 Introduction

The vertical deflection circuit gains an input of vertical saw-tooth wave signals generated from the oscillator
IC501 Pin 13 Vout1 and Pin 12 Vout2. The resultant output signal is converted into a current that drives the
DY (V) through the use of the U401 (TDA8172) driven by +14V and -12V of the power supply.
The vertical deflection circuit is composed of the following blocks:
1) Saw-tooth wave generator and waveform correction circuit (U501)
2) Vertical output circuit (U401)
