4. Firmware updating procedure
The firmware is stored in the transceiver MCU built-in
fl ash ROM.
This "4. Firmware updating procedure" describes the
method of updating the fi rmware of the transceiver.
4-1. Requirements
1) A personal computer.
A PC using the Windows 2000, XP, Vista (32bit), or 7 op-
erating system, with Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 (or
higher) installed.
Note: Windows Vista users do not need to install the
.NET Framework.
2) An optional Programming Cable (KPG-22 or KPG-22A or
KPG-22A+KCT-53U Serial communications cable) is nec-
essary.
4-2. Start TK-2360/3360 fi rmware updating
procedures
1) Start the program by double-clicking
"TK-2360_SHxx_RELxx.exe" icon.

2) Select the COM Port you will use.
1. Channel Stopper (D32-0449-04,
D32-0450-04, D32-0451-04: Accessory)
There are 3 types of stoppers available, depending on
the number of channels used (4 channel type: white, 8
channel type: gray, and 12 channel type: black).
1. Set the Selector knob to channel 1, then pull the selector
knob off the transceiver.
• If the Selector is not positioned at channel 1, the selector
knob may not install correctly and the channel may be
unable to be changed.
2. Insert the appropriate channel stopper.
3. Reinsert the selector knob.
REALIGNMENT
3) To start updating procedure, click [Write].
The following dialog box opens, explaining the fi rmware
update procedure.
4) After confi rmation of the transceiver's current fi rmware
version, the following dialog box will appear.
When you are ready, click [Yes].
The new fi rmware will be transferred into the transceiver
fl ash ROM automatically as follows.
After the firmware updating step is successfully com-
pleted, the following confi rmation dialog box will appear.
Click [OK] to close the dialog box.
Note: If an error message appears during the update,
confi rm the COM Port setting or cable connections, then
try to update the fi rmware again.
