Install the suggested software, available online.
Recommended software, available over the Internet,
can be downloaded. An Internet connection is
required.

OS you are using.

Downloading software
Check the software to be installed and click Confirm. Follow the on-screen instructions
to complete the installation(s).
Not downloading software
Click Skip.
Even if you end the installation without downloading, you can still access the download
site by displaying the screen in step 4 (~ 18) again and going to Links to Nikon.

ViewNX and NRW Codec
Use ViewNX Ver. 1.2
to
view positional information taken with the GPS feature of the
COOLPIX P6000 on the map (except for Windows 2000 professional).
Install ViewNX Ver. 1.2 and NRW Codec in Windows Vista Service Pack 1 or Windows XP
Service Pack 3 to view NRW (RAW) images taken with the COOLPIX P6000 on your
computer.
IDJI Microsoft DirectX 9 (Windows XP/2000 only)
If DirectX 9 is not already installed, a DirectX 9 installer dialog will be displayed.
Follow the on-screen instructions to install DirectX 9.

Click Yes (Windows) or OK (Macintosh) to close the
Install Center window.
If prompted to restart the computer, follow the on-screen
instructions.

Remove the Software Suite installer CD from the CD-ROM drive.
This completes installation. Proceed to "Transferring Pictures to a Computer" (~21).
