Installing the driver for an Ethernet card

To install the driver for an Ethernet card, do the following:
1. Download the driver for the Ethernet card from the Lenovo Support Web site to your server.
Note: The most up-to-date device drivers for various server models are always available on the Lenovo
Support Web site at:
http://www.lenovo.com/drivers
2. Copy the driver for the Ethernet card to a USB storage device. Connect the USB storage device to
your server.
3. Use the following commands to install the driver.
e:
cd /NIC/Intel/4R/Release 17.3 OEM Gene_278880\PRO1000\Winx64\NDIS61
Pnputil –i –a *.inf
Notes:
• e: represents the drive letter of your USB storage device.
• The /NIC/Intel/4R/Release 17.3 OEM Gene_278880\PRO1000\Winx64\NDIS61 represents the name
of the folder where the driver is stored. Use the corresponding folder name on your server.
4. Restart your server after the installation completes.

Installing the driver for an onboard graphics card

To install the driver for an onboard graphics card, do the following:
1. Copy the driver for an onboard graphics card from the ThinkServer EasyStartup DVD that comes with
your server to a USB storage device. Connect the USB storage device to your server.
2. Use the following commands to install the driver.
e:
cd Video
Win2012.msi
Notes:
• e: represents the drive letter of your USB storage device.
• The Video represents the name of the folder where the driver is stored. Use the corresponding
folder name on your server.
• The Win2012.msi represents the name of the driver. Use the corresponding driver name on your
server.
3. Click Next when prompted.
4. On the Ready to Install the Program window, click Install. The installation begins.
5. When the installation completes, click Finish.
Note: If prompted, click Yes to restart the server.
6. Restart your server after the installation completes.

Installing the driver for an HBA card

To install the driver for an HBA card, do the following:
