Agitation and spin speed are reduced. The water level is increased during rinsing. In the case of some programmes, the wash time may be shortened.

… Programme overview Additional functions Function / Symbol Type of wash Take advantage of cheap-rate electricity (delayed start period of between 1 and 24 Delayed start hours). During shut-off periods, which are determined by the local electricity supplier, the delayed start time is extended by the length of time the electricity was shut off. This is not shown in the plain text display however.
User settings You can change certain appliance settings to suit your own preferences. Settings can be changed irrespective of whether the appliance door is open or closed, provided no wash programme is running. The procedure is generally the same for all settings. The spin speed can be changed so that irre- spective of which wash programme is selected the washing drum always spins at, for instance, 1600 rpm or no faster than, for instance, 800 rpm. A lower spin speed can be used with all wash programmes.
… User settings Automatic door opener With «Automatic door opener ON», the appliance door opens automatically when the programme ends. With «Automatic door opener OFF», the appliance door re- mains closed when the programme ends and can be opened by pressing the button.
