Start up

The appliance can be operated in 2 ways:
1 Operation with fleece filter bag or paper
filter bag (option)
2 Operation without filter bag
 Check whether main filter basket has
been inserted into the appliance.
Installation of the filter bag
 Release and remove the suction head.
 Remove the main filter basket.
 Install the fleece filter bag or the paper
filter bag (option).
 Insert main filter basket.
 Insert and lock the suction head.
Insert the battery

Note: Press the battery downwards up to
the end when you insert it in the device.
Charge the battery

Note: Please read the operating instruc-
tions of the charger manufacturer, espe-
cially the chapters on safety instructions!
The battery is partially charged at the time
of delivery. Charge it before appliance
startup and then as and when required.
Note: The battery can be charged only
when it is removed out of the appliance.
 Insert the charger delivered with the ap-
pliance into a proper socket.
 Insert the battery in the charger.
Charging time for empty battery (per bat-
tery)
BC 4/3.0 quick charger, 4-
times (max. 4 batteries can be
charged one after the other)
Quick charger, BC 1/1.8, sin-
gle (special accessory)
Note: The appliance may only be operated
with closed battery compartment.
The appliance can be operated in 2 ways:
Mains operation
Battery operation
Note: If the power supply is assured for
both the operating types, the device auto-
matically switches over to mains opera-
tions.
Power supply through electrical connec-
tion.
 Plug in the main plug.
Power supply from battery. Only one bat-
tery is required for operating the device.
Battery is empty or has not been insert-
ed
Indicator lamp of the empty battery
blinks
Appliance automatically shifts to the
charged battery mode.
Both the batteries are empty
Both the indicator lamps blink for 30
seconds.
Appliance switches off.
Mains operations are possible.
Note: We recommend that you operate the
appliance in the mains mode while cleaning
textile covering because of the high clean-
ing power that is required for such jobs.
 Switch on the appliance at the main
1:00 h
switch.
 Set the selection switch of the floor noz-
zle to hard surface or carpet.
1:45 h
 Regulate the suction force on the suc-
tion force regulator (continuous).
 Perform the cleaning operation.
