How to use your refrigerator

There should always be sufficient space between items of food in your refrigerator to ensure
the cold air is able to circulate around the unit. Placing too much food into the refrigerator will
increase energy costs and lower efficiency.
Food stored in the refrigerator should be stored in sealed packets to prevent food
becoming dry and to prolong the life of the food.
Hot food should be fully cooled before placing in the refrigerator to prevent the
refrigerator temperature from rising. Failure to cool items prior to placing in the
refrigerator will increase energy consumption.
Reducing the time the refrigerator door is open for will reduce energy consumption.

Selecting refrigerator temperature

The temperature of the refrigerator is controlled manually by the knob – see fig 2.0
below. However the number shown on the knob does not directly represent the
temperature. The larger the number, the lower the interior temperature will be.'0'
represents 'off' and'4' represents normal use.
