FCC Part 68 and ACTA

This equipment �omplies with Part 68 of the FCC rules and with te�hni�al
requirements adopted b� the Administrative Coun�il for Terminal Atta�hments
(ACTA). The label on the ba�k or bottom of this equipment �ontains, amon� other
thin�s, a produ�t identifier in the format �S:AAAEQ##TXXXX. This identifier must
be provided to �our telephone servi�e provider upon request.
The plu� and ja�k used to �onne�t this equipment to premises wirin� and the
telephone network must �ompl� with the appli�able Part 68 rules and te�hni�al
requirements adopted b� ACTA. A �ompliant telephone �ord and modular plu�
is provided with this produ�t. It is desi�ned to be �onne�ted to a �ompatible
modular ja�k that is also �ompliant. An RJ11 ja�k should normall� be used
for �onne�tin� to a sin�le line and an RJ14 ja�k for two lines. See Installation
Instru�tions in the user's manual.
The Rin�er Equivalen�e Number (REN) is used to determine how man� devi�es
�ou ma� �onne�t to �our telephone line and still have them rin� when �ou
are �alled. The REN for this produ�t is en�oded as the 6th and 7th �hara�ters
followin� the �S: in the produ�t identifier (e.�., if ## is 03, the REN is 0.3). In
most, but not all areas, the sum of all RENs should be five (5.0) or less. For more

This equipment ma� not be used with Part� Lines. If �ou have spe�iall� wired
alarm dialin� equipment �onne�ted to �our telephone line, ensure the �onne�tion
of this equipment does not disable �our alarm equipment. If �ou have questions
about what will disable the alarm equipment, �onsult �our telephone servi�e
provider or a qualified installer.
If this equipment is malfun�tionin�, it must be unplu��ed from the modular
ja�k until the problem has been �orre�ted. Repairs to this telephone equipment
�an onl� be made b� the manufa�turer or its authorized a�ents. For repair
pro�edures, follow the instru�tions outlined under the Limited Warrant�.
If this equipment is �ausin� harm to the telephone network, the telephone servi�e
provider ma� temporaril� dis�ontinue �our telephone servi�e. The telephone servi�e
provider is required to notif� �ou before interruptin� servi�e. If advan�e noti�e
is not pra�ti�al, �ou will be notified as soon as possible. You will be �iven the
opportunit� to �orre�t the problem and the telephone servi�e provider is required
to inform �ou of �our ri�ht to file a �omplaint with the FCC. Your telephone servi�e
provider ma� make �han�es in its fa�ilities, equipment, operation, or pro�edures
that �ould affe�t the proper fun�tionin� of this produ�t. The telephone servi�e
provider is required to notif� �ou if su�h �han�es are planned.
