Programmable Settings

Telephone settings

Important:
L Before setting, make sure the TALK
indicator is off. The handset must be
operated near the base unit and while off
the base unit.

Dialing mode

If you cannot make calls, change this
setting depending on your telephone line
service.
TONE (default): For tone dial service.
PULSE: For rotary pulse dial service.

Press {PROG}, {MUTE}, then press
{8}.
L The PROG indicator will flash.

To select PULSE, press {1}.
OR
To select TONE, press {2}.

Press {PROG}.
L The handset will beep.
Note:
L To exit programming, press {OFF} at
any time.

Re-registering the handset

If an alarm tone sounds when you press
{C}, {s}, or {PROG} even when the
handset is near the base unit, you may
need to re-register the handset to the base
unit.
Important:
L Make sure the base unit is not being
used.
L Have the handset and base unit near
each other when re-registering the
handset.

Base unit:
Press and hold {HANDSET
LOCATOR} until the CHARGE
indicator flashes.
L After the CHARGE indicator starts
flashing, the rest of the procedure
must be completed within 1 minute.

Handset:
Press and hold {FLASH} until the VE
indicator flashes. Then wait until the
handset beeps.
L Registration is complete.
Note:
L To exit programming, press {OFF} at
any time.
