Using the stylus

The stylus is attached to your MapSight.
Like the left button on a desktop computer mouse, the stylus is a tool that lets you select or
deselect items and enter data. Like the right button, the stylus lets you perform shortcuts like
cutting and pasting.
Instructions for these tasks are listed in the table below.

Select an item
Enter data
Open an item or file
Cut or copy
Paste
Open a context menu for
an item
Drag and drop
Select multiple items

Using the touchscreen

This section explains how to protect, clean, and calibrate the touchscreen.
Protecting and cleaning the touchscreen. The touchscreen is sealed to protect your device
against water and dust.

CAUTION: Be sure to replace the screen protector as often as the screen protector
packaging recommends.

Follow these steps
Tap once.
See Entering Information, a section in the next section about
data entry options.
Tap the item or file.
Tap and hold until the context menu appears.
Select Cut or Copy.
Tap and hold the area where you want to paste.
Select Paste from the context menu that appears.
Tap and hold the item. The context menu appears.
Tap and drag the item to the destination.
Lift up the stylus.
Drag the stylus over the items.
To protect your touchscreen, we recommend that you apply a
