Selecting and Tuning a Waveband

You can choose from four wavebands: FM, AM, SW, LW.
Waveband
Frequency coverage
FM
87.5 – 108 MHZ
AM
520 – 1710 kHz
SW (short wave)
1711 – 29999 kHz
LW (long wave)
153 – 279 kHz

Shortwave Meter Band

1. Turn on the radio.
2. Press BAND to select SW waveband.
3. Press SW SELECT button to select the required SW meter band. The radio displays the
SW frequency.

Note: This radio covers SW 120 to 11 meter bands.
Antenna
Fully extend the telescopic antenna; angle
and rotate for best reception.

Fully extend the telescopic antenna; angle
and rotate for best reception.

Direct Tuning

1. Turn on the radio.
2. Press BAND to select a waveband.
3. Press
; the radio displays ---- .
4. Enter the station number, then press
n
Note: Make sure you enter the correct number, otherwise the radio will switch to another
waveband.
5. Extend the antenna fully and rotate for best reception.

Manual Tuning

1. Press BAND to select a waveband.
2. Press / or turn the tuning knob to tune to the desired frequency.
Press the tuning knob to fine tune.
Press any other button to exit fine tuning.
