This will only need to be done the first time the Ethernet connection is used.
With the BD Pro External Connection turned ON and the IP settings in place, the application will
show your available network device.
If you have more than one BD Pro available using the Ethernet connection, each available device
will be shown.
Highlight the line with the green Ready icon and click the Connect
button.
The icon will change to orange to indicate that the connection has
been made. The hard drive will now be accessible on your PC
through Windows Explorer as a new hard drive named Duplicator.
Your .iso image files can either be placed in the Duplicator/dup
directory using a simple copy and paste in Windows Explorer, or you
can create your .iso image file directly in that location.
Other icon colors:
A red icon indicates that the device is on-line, but that it is
currently connected to another PC.
A blue icon indicates that the IP address is connected to the
network but is not accessible.
A red X in place of the icon indicates that the device is not
connected to the network.
Disconnecting the Hard Drive, Ethernet Connection:
When you are ready to return control of the hard drive to the BD Pro, or if you need to allow
another PC to access the hard drive, click the Disconnect button in the NetConnect application
before turning OFF the external connection on the BD Pro Duplicator. The Network Duplication
Control software can be shut down at that time and the files will be accessible on the duplicator.
Note on Turning Off the External Connection
Regardless of the type of connection, if you turn the External Connection off without performing
the correct disconnection process based on either USB or optional Ethernet connection, the data
you placed on the hard drive may be deleted.
You should never turn the External Connection setting to OFF while data is being transferred to
the connected drive. You do not need to disconnect the external cable.
The information on shutting off the External Connection correctly has been included as a quick
guide in the Starter Kit. It is recommended that you keep this guide available as a reference
when using the BD Pro Series hard drive through the external connection.
CD+G Support
This feature is not used in the BD Pro Series, as BluRay Recorders do not support duplication of
the CD+G format.
Remember, you must use the Shutdown menu or manually Save
the settings under the Utilities menu if you want any changes
you have made to remain after the Duplicator is shut down!
