NOTE:
Radio Shack sells longer coiled handset cords that are
especially useful when you mount the telephone on a wall.
7.
Plug the cord's other end into the smaller of the two modular jacks on
the phone's base.
8.
Thread the AC power cord downward and into the groove on the left of
the back of the phone's base.
NOTE:
If necessary, reconnect the AC power cord to a standard AC
outlet.
MOUNTING YOUR TELEPHONE ON A WALL-PLATE
You can mount the phone on a standard wall plate using a short modular cord
(such as Cat. No. 279-390, not supplied).
NOTES:
If a wall plate is not already available, install an RJ11W wall
jack.
Your local Radio Shack store sells wall plates and short modular
cords.
The location of the telephone wall-plate might affect AM radio
reception.
After the wall plate is installed, follow these steps to mount your phone
onto it.
NOTE:
To make it easier to connect the telephone cords, you might want to
temporarily disconnect the AC power cord from the standard AC
outlet.
1.
Plug one end of a short modular cord into the larger of the two modular
jacks on the phone's base.
2.
Plug the other end of the short modular cord to the wall plate's
modular telephone line jack.
3.
Align the keyhole slots on the back of the phone with the mounting
rivet studs, then push the phone onto the studs and slide it downward
to secure it in place.
4.
Plug one end of the supplied coiled cord into the modular jack on the
phone's handset.
