The Chronosette-276 AM/FM Clock Radio offers you all the features of a
dual alarm clock, an AM/FM stereo radio, and a tape player/recorder in one

    INSTALLING THE BACK-UP BATTERY To keep the clock running in the event of an AC power failure, install a 9-volt battery. We recommend Radio Shack's Enercell battery Cat. No. 23-583. A fresh battery can keep the clock running for up to 8 hours and sound the alarm for up to 10 minutes if AC power fails.

    Your local Radio Shack store has a complete line of external antennas to choose from. To connect an external FM antenna to the Chronosette-276, slightly loosen the 2 screw terminals and slide the antenna's spade lugs underneath the screw heads.

    Notes: The Chronosette-276 has two antennas. The AM antenna is built in. Turn the Chronosette-276 to improve AM reception. For best FM reception, fully extend the telescoping antenna and adjust it to the position that provides the best reception. The FM indicator lights when you receive an FM stereo station.

    To set the playing time for 59 minutes, release SLEEP. The radio automatically turns off after 59 minutes. To set the playing time for less than 59 minutes, hold down the SLEEP button.. Release SLEEP. CASSETTE OPERATION You can play a cassette, record from the radio, or make the live recordings.

    Press STOP/EJECT to stop the tape. Press STOP/EJECT again to open the cassette compartment. Note: When the tape reaches the end, the Chronosette-276 automatically stops and releases the tape-handling parts. USING THE SLEEP FEATURE TO PLAY A CASSETTE TAPE Set the function selector to TAPE.
