USING TONE SERVICES WITH A PULSE LINE

Some special services, such as alternate long-distance and bank-by-phone,
require tone signals.
If you have pulse service, you can still use special tone services by
following these steps:
1.
Set TONE/PULSE to PULSE.
2.
Call the special service using pulse dialing.
3.
When the special service answers, press TONE OR *.
4.
Follow the normal procedures for the special service you are using.
Any additional numbers dialed are sent as touch-tone signals.
5.
When you finish the call, hang up the phone.
NOTE:
Some special services use the * and # buttons in the tone mode.

USING MUTE
