4.3 Synchronizing Using an
Infrared Connection
You can use an infrared connection to create a direct con-
nection between your phone and another mobile device or
desktop computer quickly. This method is ideal for quickly
switching between multiple devices since there are no
cables or adapters to change. When creating a partner-
ship, you must connect using infrared, a cable, or a cradle

connection.

Transferring Items Using Infrared

Using infrared (IR), you can also send and receive information,
such as contacts and appointments, between two devices.
a. To send information :

Switch to the program where you created the
item you want to send and locate the item in the
list.

Align the IR ports so that they are unobstructed
and within close range.

Tap and hold the item, and tap
the pop up menu.
You can send items, but not folders, from File
Explorer. Tap and hold the item you want to send,
and then tap
b. To receive information :
