    Introduction Thank you for purchasing the Ubiquiti Networks® Rocket ™ Lite. This Quick Start Guide is designed to guide you through installation and show how to access the airOS® Configuration Interface. This guide also includes the warranty terms and is for use with the Rocket5ac Lite, model R5AC-Lite.

  • Page 4 LED Panel Signal The default wireless signal strength values are shown below: LED will light blue when the wireless signal strength is equal to or above -65 dBm. LED will light blue when the wireless signal strength is equal to or above -73 dBm. LED will light blue when the wireless signal strength is equal to or above -80 dBm.
  • Page 5 Ports Reset Button LAN Port This Gigabit Ethernet port is used to connect the power and should be connected to the LAN. Reset Button To reset to factory defaults, press and hold the Reset button for more than 10 seconds while the Rocket is already powered on.

    Hardware Installation The Rocket5ac Lite is designed to mount directly onto a Ubiquiti airMAX RocketDish antenna. ™ 1. Lift the release latch on the bottom of the Rocket and slide the Port Cover off. 2. Connect an Ethernet cable to the LAN port. 3.
  • Page 7 4. Connect the RF cables (included with the RocketDish) to the RP-SMA Connectors located on top of the Rocket. 5. Attach the Rocket to the RocketDish. a. Align the mounting tabs on the back of the Rocket with the four mounting slots on the RocketDish. b.
  • Page 8 6. Attach the other end of the RF Cables to the RF connectors in this combination: Chain 1 to H and Chain 0 to V. 7. Attach the Protective Shroud. a. Align the hash mark on the top of the shroud with the notch on the RocketDish.

    Connecting Power over Ethernet 1. Connect the other end of the Ethernet cable from the Rocket to the Ethernet port labeled POE on the Gigabit PoE Adapter. 2. Connect an Ethernet cable from your LAN to the Ethernet port labeled LAN on the Gigabit PoE Adapter. 3.
