SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS EYE PROTECTION which conforms to ANSI specifications and provides protection against flying particles both from the FRONT and SIDE should ALWAYS be worn by the operator and others in the work area when connecting to air supply, loading, operating or servicing this tool. -

OPERATION Bostitch offers two types of operation for this series tool CONTACT TRIP The common operating procedure on “Contact Trip” tools is for the operator to contact the work to actuate the trip mechanism while keeping the trigger pulled, thus driving a fastener each time the work is contacted. -
Page 5: Operating Pressure, Setting Correct Pressure
Frequent, but not excessive, lubrication is required for best performance. Oil added through the air line connection will lubricate the internal parts. Use BOSTITCH Air Tool Lubricant, Mobil Velocite #10, or equivalent. Do not use detergent oil or additives as these lubricants will cause accelerated wear to the seals and bumpers in the tool, resulting in poor tool performance and frequent tool maintenance. -

3. Close Magazine: Release pusher by first pulling back on the pusher and then pressing the pusher release tab. Slide pusher against nails. NOTE: Use only nails recommended for use in Bostitch N88 nailers or nails which meet the Bostitch specifications. -
Page 7: Fastener Depth Control Adjustment
FASTENER DEPTH CONTROL ADJUSTMENT When using the framing contact arm: The Fastener Depth Control Adjustment feature provides control of the nail drive depth from flush with or just above the work surface to shallow or deep countersink. TO ADJUST THE FASTENER DEPTH CONTROL: DISCONNECT TOOL FROM AIR SUPPLY BEFORE ATTEMPTING ANY PARTS DISASSEMBLY AND BEFORE CHANGING THE WORK CONTACTING ELEMENT ADJUSTMENT. -

REFER TO “TOOL SPECIFICATIONS” IN THIS MANUAL TO IDENTIFY THE OPERATING SYSTEM ON YOUR TOOL. OPERATION There are two available systems on BOSTITCH N88 pneumatic tools. They are: 1. CONTACT TRIP OPERATION 2. SEQUENTIAL TRIP OPERATION 1. CONTACT TRIP OPERATION The CONTACT TRIP MODEL tool contains a contact trip that operates in conjunction with the trigger to drive a fastener. -

IN ADDITION TO THE OTHER WARNINGS CONTAINED IN THIS MANUAL OBSERVE THE FOLLOWING FOR SAFE OPERATION • Use the BOSTITCH pneumatic tool only for the purpose for which it was designed. • Never use this tool in a manner that could cause a fastener to be directed toward the user or others in the work area. -

MagnaLube or equivalent on all “O”-rings. Coat each “O”-ring with lubricant before assembling. Use a small amount of oil on all moving surfaces and pivots. After reassembly add a few drops of BOSTITCH Air Tool Lubricant through the air line fitting before testing. AIR SUPPLY-PRESSURE AND VOLUME: Air volume is as important as air pressure. -

No use aceite ni aditivos detergentes porque estos lubricantes causarán un desgaste acelerado a los sellos y topes de la herramienta, ocasionando un rendimiento deficiente y mantenimiento frecuente de la herramienta.

CONSULTE LAS “ESPECIFICACIONES DE LA HERRAMIENTA” EN ESTE MANUAL PARA IDENTIFICAR EL SISTEMA OPERATIVO DE LA HERRAMIENTA. FUNCIONAMIENTO Hay dos sistemas disponibles en las herramientas neumáticas BOSTITCH N88. Estos son: 1. FUNCIONAMIENTO CON DISPARO DE CONTACTO 2. FUNCIONAMIENTO CON DISPARO SECUENCIAL 1. FUNCIONAMIENTO DEL DISPARO DE CONTACTO La herramienta CON DISPARO DE CONTACTO cuenta con un disparo de contacto que funciona en conjunto con el gatillo para impulsar un clavo. - Page 20 Siempre lleve la herramienta tomándola por la empuñadura. Nous vous recommandons d’utiliser la formule hivernale du lubrifiant pour outil pneumatique BOSTITCH, ou à défaut un antigel permanent (éthylène-glycol).
