Correcting USB Problems

If you are having difficulty using your printer with a USB
connection, see if your problem is listed below, then follow the
instructions given to resolve the problem.
Problem and Solution
The print head
nozzle are clogged.
The vertical lines in
your printout are
not aligned
correctly.
Make sure that the printer is
b
on and the error light is
off.
For Windows users, access
the printer software and
click the Utility tab, then
click the Head Cleaning
button.
For Macintosh users, access
the printer software and
click the Utility icon
button, then click the Head
Cleaning button.
Follow the on-screen
instructions to clean the
print head.
Make sure that A4 or Letter
size plain paper is loaded in
the sheet feeder.
For Windows users, access
the printer software and
click the Utility tab, then
click the Print Head
Alignment button.
For Macintosh users, access
the printer software and
click the Utility icon
button, then click the Print
Head Alignment button.
Follow the on-screen
instructions to align the print
head.
