    7 First Time Programming Instructions Enter Password 1. Call the unit from a touch-tone phone. The IA3100 will answer at the first ring. When the IA3100 answers and is ready to receive a command you will hear a Request For Acknowl- edge (RFA) tone.

    The unit can be forced to hang up by pressing the # (pound) symbol for two seconds on the telephone keypad. If the # sequence is not used to hang up the IA3100, the phone is programmed to recognize a Disconnect Supervision, such as a WINK, reorder tones or revert to dial tone from the PBX or PSTN.
