The main LCD indicates that we are editing the logical channel with name CH01 of dimmer unit 01.
The top line in the fader LCD displays the DMX addresses. The second line displays the state of those
physical channels.
5. The mode of the logical channel is set to fade by default. It is useful to set a default fade/snap mode in the
patch to make programming easier, especially if you are always programming the channel in the same
mode. We will elaborate on fade/snap modes in 'Section 9.6. The programmer' on page 64.
To configure the default mode of a logical channel:
a) Hold [SHIFT] and press the bump button under the physical channel. Example: Do this for channel
101.
The default fade/snap mode is global for all physical channels inside the selected logical channel, so
you only need to do this action on one of the physical channels. All other DMX channels inside the
selected logical channel will be set to the same mode.
Note: The physical channel needs to be patched before you can set its mode.
6. Some dimmer models may have inverted channels. You can also invert individual physical channels to have
normal control over them on the console. To invert a channel:
a) Hold {Invert} while you press the bump button under the address of the physical channel you wish to
invert. Example: Do this for channel 101.
