a) Press [EDIT].
Xciter brings up the DMX chain on the fader LCD. It displays the first physical channel that has been
patched to the logical channel. Example: 101.
Xciter will also send the default test value (128 if you have not changed it) to all the physical channels
currently patched to the selected logical channel.
The main LCD indicates that we are editing the logical channel with name CH01 of dimmer unit 01.
The top line in the fader LCD displays the DMX addresses. The second line displays the state of those
physical channels.
b) Use the centre top jog wheel to scroll through the physical channels of the DMX chain in pages of 6.
Example: scroll until you see channel 111.
c) To add a physical channel to the logical channel press the bump button under its DMX address.
Example: 111. Xciter puts a default test value of 128 on DMX address 111. In our example, both
physical channels on address 101 and 111 should now have a value of 128.
If you want to unpatch the physical channel, you have to press the bump button under its address
again. Leave the channel patched for this example.
d) Press [STORE] or [ESC] to patch all the newly selected physical channels to the logical channel. This
will also bring you back to the previous dialog where you can select another logical channel for editing.
Notice that physical channel 111 has been added to the list of logical channel CH01.
