Troubleshooting

If R/C car does not move or you have no control, see below.
Problem
Engine Does Not Start.
Engine Starts Then Stalls.
Engine Running, But Car Doesn't Move.
Erratic Control.
Cause
Out of fuel.
Air filter is blocked.
Glow plug igniter not charged.
Engine flooded.
Glow plug is bad.
Throttle isn't adjusted properly.
Roto Start working properly?
Throttle servo is improperly set up.
Out of fuel.
Air filter is blocked.
Idle speed is set too low.
Throttle isn't adjusted properly.
Engine is overheated,
Do you have a clutch problem?
Throttle servo is improperly set up.
Do you have a drivetrain problem?
Are the brakes stuck?
Do you have a clutch problem?
Receiver battery capacity is low.
Gear mesh is incorrect.
Do you have a drivetrain problem?
Weak batteries in transmitter and receiver. Install fresh batteries.
Improper antenna on transmitter or model. Fully extend antenna.
Brake does not work.
Solution
Fill the tank with fuel and prime engine.
Check air filter, clean or replace if necessary.
Charge glow igniter battery.
Discharge fuel.
Replace glow plug.
See section 2-10 on carburetor factory setting then see section
2-8 on engine tuning after break in.
Make sure Roto Start starting shaft is turning.
Set servo to neutral and reset linkage according to radio and
model manufacturer's specifications.
Fill the tank with fuel and prime engine.
Check air filter, clean or replace if necessary.
Adjust the idle speed.
See section 2-10 on carburetor factory setting then see section
2-8 on engine tuning after break in.
Allow engine to cool and then restart.
See section 3-10 on clutch maintenance.

model manufacturer's specifications.
Check drivetrain for damage.
See section 2-6. Make sure there is no brake drag at neutral.

Exchange receiver battery.

Check drivetrain for damage.
