Take the water container out of the appliance and remove the
insert (see "Cleaning and care"). Rinse the water container
and the insert thoroughly by hand using hot water. Do not use
any washing-up liquid or detergent.
Do not clean the water container or the insert in a
dishwasher. Do not immerse the water container in water.
Take all accessories out of the steam oven and wash them in
a mild solution of washing-up liquid and hot water or in the
dishwasher (this does not apply to the water container and
insert - see above).
The interior of the steam oven has been treated with a
conditioning agent before leaving the factory. To remove this,
clean the cooking compartment with a mild solution of
washing up liquid and hot water and then dry thoroughly with
a soft cloth.
Now fill the water container with mains tap water (see "Before
each use") and then run the Cook Universal (100 °C) for 15
minutes. Proceed as described in "Operation".
This process flushes out the waterways and sets the
appliance for the altitude in your area.
If you move house, the appliance will need to be re-set for
the new altitude if this differs from the old one by more than
300 m. To do this, descale the appliance (see "Cleaning and
care").
Warning! A lot of steam will be emitted from the appliance the
first time it is used, and the first time it is descaled after
moving house.
