Basic remote control operations for other components
Storing the remote control code of the other
components
This remote control unit can store the remote control code of the other
components and you can operate the other components from this
remote control unit. The remote control code is stored on the key or
memory of this remote control unit.
Storing on the keys
You can store the remote control code of the other components to these
keys as shown below:

Point the infrared ray system part of the other component's
remote control unit to the IR indicator of this remote control
unit.
•
This remote control is ready to receive the remote control code of
the other component.

Press and hold the LEARN key for 3 seconds until the IR
indicator blinks twice, then release the LEARN key.

Press the Numeric keys to enter "9 - 7 - 5".
•
The IR indicator will blink twice as confirmation.

Press any of the Source keys (DVD/6CH, CD/DVD, VIDEO1,
VIDEO2, VIDEO3, MD/TAPE, TV, AV AUX, PHONO) to select the
input of the desired remote control unit.
•
When in Tuner mode, learning code function will not be available.

Press the desired key on the remote control unit.

From the remote control of the other component, press the key
which you want to store.
•
If the process is successful, the IR indicator will blink twice. Repeat
from step 2 onwards up to the limit of the memory.
•
If the code cannot be stored, the IR indicator will display one long
blink. Try again by repeating from step 2 onwards.

The remote control code of the other component is stored on
the key of this remote control unit.

Repeat steps 4 to 7 to store additional components until all
the desired components are stored.

Press the LEARN key again to exit the learning mode.

To clear the stored remote control code of the other
components :
1 Press and hold the LEARN key for 3 seconds until the IR
indicator blinks twice, then release the LEARN key.
2 Press the Numeric keys to enter "9 - 7 - 6".
•
The IR indicator will blink twice as confirmation.
3 Press the Source key, then press the stored key twice.
•
The IR indicator will blink twice as confirmation.
Note
•
Be sure to point the remote control at the remote sensor on the receiver
when you want to operate KENWOOD components connected by
system control cords. Otherwise, point the remote control at the
component you want to operate.
