Tonearm Setup Install cartridge and raise the arm lift for cartridge/stylus protection. Notice how the counterweight can be moved. With the cueing system lift lever down, adjust the weight so entire tonearm assembly is freely balanced. Zero the scale on the weight by moving the black ring until “0” is aligned with the slot. The tonearm assembly should still be balanced as shown in Figure 2.
Please note: The X2 allows you to scratch over a CD while it is playing! Connect the CD output to a line input on your mixer. Then connect the PHONO TT output to a phono input on another channel of the mixer.

Brake Adjust – changes the amount of time it takes for the platter to stop when the Pause button is pressed. As the knob is turned to the right, the braking time increases. For fast braking, turn the knob all the way left. Power Switch - turns on and off the machine.

Loop In - is the point where you wish the loop to start. A loop is any area of a CD that you choose to repeat seamlessly. The initial “CUE” or “PLAY” point of the CD is by default the “Loop In” point. If you wish to set a new loop-in point, just press “Loop In”...

TT/CD Switch – this switch determines whether you will be playing a vinyl record or a CD with the platter. If the switch is set to “TT”, then the X2 will function as a conventional turntable. If the switch is set to “CD”, the platter will control the CD player. Please note that to control the CD player, you will need to use the special control record which latches onto the locking spindle.

To match the speeds of two units, you can either monitor the music of both units by ear, or use the automatic BPM readout and adjust the speed to match. When the tempo of the music of the CD you wish to match is slow compared to the tempo of the other music, move the slider to the (+) end and match the BPM.
