NEATH, OR INSIDE THE VEHICLE. OPERATE
GENERATOR ONLY WHEN SAFE DISPER-
SION OF EXHAUST GASES CAN BE AS-
SURED.

To start Ihe generalor. hold the sWitch In the START posilion
until the Unit starts, then release the sWitch. If unit IS slow 10
start, DO NOT hold the sWitch in the START position for more
than
10
seconds. Release the switch, wait
15
seconds, then
repeat This will helD avoid overheating the generator starting
motor
~nd
may prevent damage to the starting system. If this
system falls to start. the generator manual starting instructions
are discussed in the general power plant manufacturers
Instructions. To stop the Unit, hold switch to the STOP position
until the engine stops.
An hour meter is on the control panel located on the motor homE
instrument panel. This meter indicates the hours of running time
on the generator. Operating hours information is important
In
scheduling proper service maintenance for the generator. Refer
to the power plant manual for maintenance instructions.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
• Read and understand the generator operating, maintenance
and safety instructions furnished in your owner's kit.
• Do not smoke or use open flame near the generator unit
or fuel tank.
• Do not block generator ventilating air inlets or outlets. The
air·cooled generator requires a constant supply of cooling
air. Restricted ventilating air inlets or outlets can cause
generator failure or fire from generator overheating.
• Do not use generator ventilating air for' heating any:'irirliilor
living space. Ventilating air can contain. high concentra!ions
of lethal gases.

• Do not place flammable material or store any other

in the generator compartment.
• Check generator fuel lines often. Fuel leakage in or arounc
the compartment is an extreme fire hazard. Do not use thE
generator until the fuel leaks are repaired.
• Exhaust gases are deadly. Do not block the tail pipe or
situate the vehicle in a place where the exhaust gases
have any possibility of accumulating either outside, unG-3rneath
or inside your vehicle or any nearby vehicles. Outsioe air
movements can carry exhaust gases inside the vehicle
through windows or other openings remote from the exhaus
Operate the generator only when safe dispersion of
exhaust gases can be assured, and monitor outside conditiom
to be sure that exhaust continues to be dispersed safely.
• Be aware of exhaust gas (carbon monoxide) poisoning
symptoms:
Dizziness
Intense Headache
Weakness and Sleepiness
Vomiting
Muscular T'Nltching
Throbbing in Temples
If symptoms indicate the possibility of carbon monoxide
poisoning,' turn oH the generator Immediately, open all
Wi~ldows.
