SMOKE DETECTOR

You(' motor home is equipped with a battery-operated smoke
detector mounted on the cell ina in the living/cooking area as
specified by the Standard for riecreational Vehicles, ANSI: A
119.2/NFPA 501C-1982. Please read the smoke detector
Owner's Manual for details on testing and caring for this
important safety device.
Test the smoke detector after the motor home has been in
storage, before each trip. and at least once per week during
use. Depress and hold the test button on the cover for up to
20 seconds. The horn should sound a loud, pulsating alarm
and the indicator 'Iight should flash quickly. This indicates that
the detector is functioning properly. If the horn does not
sound, check that the battery is inserted correctly and is
fresh. If. the battery is dead. replace it promptly, and retest
the detector.
