The Stitch
and Its Uses
Use
this
stitch
when
you
want
a
narrow
seam that
you
do not need to
press open
flat.
It is ideal
for
1/4"
seams
on
knits
or
on
medium
to
heavyweight
woven
fabrics
where
you
want
a narrow
seam.
It is also great
for
making
elastic swim
wear.
/
Here's How
Place
the
fabric
under
the
presser
foot
so
that
the
stitches
are
made
over the edge
Or, place your
fabric
to allow
a 5/8"
seam,
then
trim
seam
allowance
after.
NOTE:
When
using
stretch
knit
fabric,
use a blue
stretch
fabric
needle
which
effectively
prevents
skipped
stitches.
