OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE.

NORMAL STARTING PROCEDURE
1. Shift transmission to NEUTRAL.

2. Turn ignition switch to the right ( clockwise) to the first
position. The WAIT TO START light on the instrument
panel will light up. When the WAIT TO START light
goes out, turn the switch clockwise to the START
position. When the engine starts, release the switch. See
"Driver's Controls" for location of WAIT TO START
light.
Ignition Switch
Note: The WAIT TO STARTfeature is necessary for engine
intake airpreheating. The operating timing interval depends
on engine and outside air temperature. The light will go off
sooner if the engine is hot and/or the outside air temperature
is warm.
The engine is equipped with a block heater to aid in cold-weather starting.
Plug-in connections for the engine block heater are located in the electrical
shore cord compartment.
