DRIVER'S CHECK A T START-UP
Perform the following test:
1. TUrn ignition switch ON. The anti-lock warning lamp should come on,
go off, come on again.
2. Drive the vehicle at a speed above 6 mph (10 km/h). The anti-lock
warning lamp should go out. If the lamp fails to come on, oris on continuously
above 6 mph (10 km/h), the anti-lock system is faulty. In this case, normal
braking is still available.

Caution·
In order to ensure that system performance and
reliability is preseived, all service intervals and
procedures must be followed when carrying out
maintenance and repairs. Only original equipment
approved service should be used.
Caution
On vehicles fitted with retarders, the retarder must
be inhibited during anti-lock operation. An output is
provided to drive a relay to inhibitthe retarder.
