8 SIRIUS Device Recovery

If your Stiletto fails to start and displays the following error:
"Error. To recover, connect to a PC via USB (you may ne ed to run the install CD)"
You will need to run the SIRIUS Device Recovery program, which is included on the My Sirius Studio
CD-ROM. The Device Recovery program supports: Stiletto 2, Stiletto 100, and Stiletto 10.
If you have misplaced your MSS CD-ROM, you may download the SIRIUS Device Recovery program
from http://www.sirius.com/mysiriusstudio
NOTE: Performing device recovery WILL ERASE the entire contents on your Stiletto: all
music, Sirius recordings, channel presets and any user preferences. The Stiletto will be reset to its
original factory state.
DO NOT UNPLUG OR DISC ONNECT YOUR STILETTO DURING THE RECOVERY
PRO CESS; DOING S O WILL LEAVE YOUR STILETTO PERMANENTLY INOPERABLE.

8.1 Installing SIRIUS Device Recovery

To install the SIRIUS Device Recovery application:
1. Insert the My Sirius Studio CD into your CD-ROM drive in your computer and right-click to

Double-click on the DeviceRecoverySetup.exe
3. Proceed through the installer screens until you receive the "Finished" screen. You are now
ready to use the Device Recovery application.
