4.2 Importing Songs

The first time you run MSS and click the songs tab after selecting the My PC icon from the source
area on the right, you will see an empty songs list and no playlists. The song table displays all of the
songs that have been added to "My PC".
When you click the Stiletto icon in the source list after connecting a Stiletto, you will likely see a
different songs list. The main song list always displays the songs stored in the source selected on the
right (My PC, Stiletto, or for Stiletto 2 users, "Stiletto 2 - Expansion Card").
To import songs into MSS, you have the following options:
1. IMPORT TRACK: Use Import Track under the File menu to import an individual track or
several tracks (see diagram). When you select File
tracks desired, select them, then click the Open button to import the songs.
2. IMPORT DIRECTORY: Use Import Directory under the File menu to Import an entire
directory of songs. When you select File
desired, select it, and click the Open button to import all of the songs in the folder.
3. DRAG AND DROP: Use Windows Explorer to drag songs into "My PC", as shown below:
NOTE: for any of the three ways to import songs into MSS, the actual songs are left in their original
location on your hard drive and are only listed and made available within MSS.
Note: Only valid files (*.mp3 and *.wma) are supported by MSS.
