1.2. Framing the Heater

Framing can be built before or after the heater is set
in place. Framing should be positioned to accommo-
date wall coverings and heater facing material. The
diagram below shows framing reference dimensions.
CAUTION: MEASURE HEATER DIMENSIONS AND
VERIFY FRAMING METHODS AND WALL COVER-
ING DETAILS, BEFORE FRAMING CONSTRUC-
TION BEGINS.
* Note: These dimensions show the center of
the horizontal fl ue pipe. The center of the
framing hole is one inch (25.4 mm) above
the center of the fl ue pipe. Framing should
be constructed of 51 mm x 102 mm (2 in. x
4 in.) lumber or heavier.
