1.4 CONNECTING THE GAS SUPPLY

The gas is introduced to the appliance on the left hand
side (see Figure 30). After the gas pipe installation
is complete, check carefully all gas connections for
leaks with a soap solution. DO NOT USE AN OPEN
FLAME.
NOTE: The gas supply line should be purged of any
trapped air prior to the fi rst fi ring of the unit.

1.5 IGNITION SYSTEM WIRING

• This gas heater is equipped with an electronic ignition
system which operates on a 6 volt system.
• This appliance requires 240 VAC to be wired to the
factory installed junction box. Check factory installed
power cord for damage before using.
Shock hazard.
• Replace damaged wire with type 105º C
rated wire.
• Wire must have high temperature
insulation.
CAUTION
Label all wires prior to disconnection when servicing con-
trols. Wiring errors can cause improper and dangerous
operation. Verify proper operation after servicing.
