Step One: Unfold Handlebar Remove the lower and loosen the upper hardware on the handlebar assembly. Loosen the hardware on the shift rod. Put the speed selector lever in the sixth forward position. Rotate the handlebar into operating position. NOTE: Be careful not to damage cable spring hooks when rotating handlebar upward.
Step Two: Install Discharge Chute Grease underside of discharge chute ring (if not already greased). Remove mounting hardware from auger housing. Install discharge chute over opening in the auger housing and secure pedestal to auger housing with hardware removed above.

Step Three: Connect Batteries The battery connectors are located under the battery cover. To connect batteries: Ensure that the power and PTO switches are in the OFF position. Remove two hex head screws from each side of battery cover. Rotate cover toward handlebar. Use care not to place tension on wires.
Step Four: Install Discharge Chute Crank Remove gear cover. Slide Chute Crank through the opening in the control panel. NOTE: Be careful not to damage nylon bushing when attaching crank to the dash. Connect the chute crank to the pinion gear on chute with spring clip pin.

Step Five: Install Remote Deflector Cable Slide cable through clip on top of discharge chute pedestal. Using the wire hook attached to the deflector cable, hook cable to discharge chute crank. Pull rubber seal cap away from snap fitting. Install snap fitting into cable bracket’s mounting hole located under the dash.

Step Five: Install Remote Deflector Cable Cont. Move deflector control lever to forward most position. Attach cable eye to pin on bottom of deflector control lever. NOTE: Hold down chute deflector cap, if needed, for more cable slack. Secure cable eye to control lever with sleeve bushing and hairpin.

Step Six: Charge Batteries The batteries MUST be charged for a minimum of 7 hours before the first use. See Pre-Start in Owners Manual. IMPORTANT: The unit MUST be connected to the battery charger whenever it is not in use. Failure to keep batteries fully charged will reduce battery life and void...

Step Seven: Check Function of Dual Handle Interlock With power switch in the off position, press down (engage) both clutch levers. Release attachment clutch (right side) lever. Attachment clutch should remain engaged until traction clutch lever is released, then both clutches must disengage.
Step Nine: Adjust Skid Shoes IMPORTANT: Skid shoes should be adjusted as conditions require. Allow 1/8 in. (3mm) between scraper blade and hard smooth surfaces. Allow 7/8 in. (22 mm) between scraper blade and uneven or gravel surfaces. (See Skid Shoes in Owners Manual).

Step Ten: Check Auger Gearcase Oil Check oil level in auger gearcase (see Check Auger Gearcase in Owners Manual).
Step Eleven: Starting the Engine Important: Disengage PTO and release both controls before turning power switch to ON position. Insert key and turn power switch to the ON position. LED in battery level indicator will glow. Drive motor will not yet run. Engage PTO switch.

Step Twelve: Stopping the Engine Release traction drive clutch lever and allow unit to come to a complete stop. Run impeller a few minutes after use to prevent freeze-up of impeller. Release attachment clutch lever and wait for all moving parts to come to a complete stop.
