Installing the Battery Pack

To install the battery pack, follow the steps below and refer to Figure 4-1.
WARNING: The battery is a lithium ion battery. The battery can explode if not
properly replaced, used, handled, or disposed of. Use only batteries recommended by
Toshiba as replacements.
1. Turn off the power to the computer, then disconnect the AC adapter and all external
cables connected to the computer.
2. Place the battery cover on the battery, then slide the cover to the left to secure the
latches.
3. Fit the battery onto the guide rails.
4. Push the battery into place and slide the battery cover to the left to lock it.
