VARIABLE CONTROL
OPERATION
The variable control valve can be set to
any heat setting and flame height desired,
by simply turning the control knob until
that setting is attained. Even the lowest
setting provides realistic, dancing yellow
flames. Selecting higher settings produces
greater heat output. This results in in-
creased heating comfort.
CAUTION: Do not try to adjust
heating levels by using the
manual shutoff valve.

sure to smell next to the floor because
some gas is heavier than air and will
settle on the floor.

supplier. Force or attempted repair
may result in a fire or explosion.
D. Do not use this appliance if any part
has been under water. Immediately
call a qualified service technician to
inspect the appliance and to replace
any part of the control system and
any gas control which has been un-
der water.
Note: Homeowners generally prefer to
operate their heater with the chimney
damper closed. This will put all the
heat into the room. However there may
be times you will desire the full flames
of the Hi heat setting but will find the
heat output excessive. You can open the
chimney damper (if you have one) fully
or partially to release some of the heat.
