Appendix D:Equalizer Configuration File
policy
The load balancing policy can be one of the following.
round_robin
static_weight
adaptive
fastest_response
least_connections
server_agent
block
client_timeout
If specified, this overrides the global setting for this cluster.
connect_timeout
If specified, this overrides the global setting for this cluster.
server_timeout
If specified, this overrides the global setting for this cluster.
response
The load balancing algorithm responsiveness can be adjusted by specifying a
responsiveness value.
agent_port
If specified, a connection will be made to this port on the server periodically to determine
the load on that server.
sticky_time
This is the time, in some fractions of a second that a sticky record persists. This is only
meaningful for L4 protocols.
ACV_probe
The active content verification probe string can be specified. If provided, during the
periodic probes to determine if the server is alive, this string is sent once a successful
connection to the server is obtained.
ACV_response
If provided, during the periodic server probes, once a connection is made to a server, and
the probe string, if any, is sent, the response from the server is examined and the specified
response string must appear within the first five thousand bytes of response obtained from
the server, or the server is marked as failing.
