55 IgNITION ELECTRODE REpLACEMENT

1. Refer to Frame 51.
2. Remove the boiler front panels and inner sealing panel.
Refer to Frames 44 and 45.
3. Unplug the ignition lead from the electrode.
4. Remove the burner. Refer to Frame 54.
5. Remove the earth lead from the ignition electrode.
6. Remove the remaining screw holding the ignition
electrode to the combustion chamber.
7. Remove the electrode.
8. Fit the new ignition electrode, using the new gasket
supplied. Check dimensions as shown.
9. Reassemble in reverse order and check that no damage
to the combustion chamber insulation has occurred
during the electrode replacement. (HE15, HE18 and
HE24 only)
10. Check operation of the boiler. Refer to Frame 51.

56 FLAME DETECTION ELECTRODE REpLACEMENT

1. Refer to Frame 51.
2. Remove the boiler front panels and inner sealing panel. Refer to
Frames 44 and 45.
3. Unplug the flame detection lead from the electrode.
4. Remove the burner. Refer to Frame 54.
5. Remove the 2 screws holding the flame detection electrode to the
combustion chamber.
6. Remove the flame detection electrode.
7. Fit the new flame detection electrode, using the new gasket supplied.
Check dimension as shown.
8. Reassemble in reverse order and check that no damage to the
combustion chamber insulation has occurred during the electrode
replacement. (HE15, HE18 and HE24 only).
9. Check operation of the boiler. Refer to Frame 51.
