Microsoft Windows Mobile® Device Center is the replacement for Microsoft® ActiveSync® on Windows Vista™.
1. Insert the Getting Started Disc into the CD drive of your PC.

Follow the instructions on the installation wizard screen to install Windows Mobile Device Center.
3.
Connect the phone to your PC and turn on your phone.
4.
When the PC detects a USB connection, the Windows Mobile Device Center screen opens. Click
Set up your device and then select the information you want to synchronize.
5. Type in a name for your Smartphone and click Set Up.
Note To synchronize your phone directly with a server running Microsoft Exchange, please refer to Chapter 7 of the
User Manual or contact your company network administrator.

Make your first phone call
Before you place a phone call, make sure you
have an active phone connection from the
nearest operator and your phone battery is
sufficiently charged.
